During this webinar, Lissa, from the Global Impact Investing Network will provide an overview of IRIS standard as well as showcase how organizations in South and East Africa have integrated the standards into their impact measurement work.

The GIIN:
The Global Impact Investing Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing around the world. Impact investments are investments made into companies, organizations, and funds with the intention to generate social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.

The Presenter:
Lissa Glasgo serves as Senior Associate on the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN)’s IRIS/Impact Measurement and Management (IMM) team. IRIS is an initiative of the GIIN, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the scale and effectiveness of impact investing. The GIIN offers IRIS as a free public good to support transparency, credibility, and accountability in IMM practices across the impact investing industry. In this role, Glasgo acts as a resource to IRIS users and GIIN members, driving development of the Navigating Impact project, and supporting IRIS update activities. Previously, she developed on impact measurement approaches with solar- and tech-focused social enterprises in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, supported research and programming related to mHealth, adolescent sexual health education, and gender-based violence reduction programming with the Institute for Reproductive Health, and served as a U.S. Peace Corps education volunteer in Benin. Lissa holds a Masters in Global Affairs with a focus on social enterprise and research methods from the Jackson Institute at Yale University, and a BA from Rice University.
